Recessed Design with One-Direction Light Control
Installed mostly below ground, the fixture keeps a low visual profile while the single side-opening turret directs the MR16 beam toward one targeted area. Compared with an open-top well light, the covered turret helps limit upward spill and direct glare, making it well suited for pathways, landscape borders, planting areas, tree trunks, rocks, and other nearby features that benefit from controlled directional illumination.

The MLR-G05 One-Direction Turret In-Ground Well Light is designed to send light through a single recessed side opening, creating a focused directional lighting effect while shielding the lamp from direct view.
Unlike an open-top well light that projects light broadly upward, the turret cover limits unwanted spill and glare, making this fixture especially useful where light needs to be directed toward one specific area. Install it along pathways, driveways, planting beds, landscape borders, or near selected landscape features to create controlled accent illumination without exposing a bright light source.
The recessed design keeps most of the fixture hidden below grade, while the die-cast brass turret top provides a substantial, finished appearance at ground level. A replaceable MR16 lamp allows the light output, color temperature, and beam characteristics to be selected for different landscape applications.

How to Choose a Suitable Transformer
Low voltage lighting systems require the use of a transformer to reduce the standard 120 volt power from ordinary household electricity to 12,13,14,and 15 volt needed to power low voltage fixtures.
The total wattage of all fixtures connected to one transformer must not exceed the wattage capacity of the transformer.
To determine the size of transformer needed in a low voltage lighting system, add up the wattage of all fixtures in system and then add 10% for low voltage cable and fixtures connections.
If the total load offixtures is too greateither divide the total load between 2 transformers or use a more powerful transformer.
Select a transformer with 20% higher capacity than total wattage of all fixtures in system, that allow you to add more fixtures later.
